On December 31, 1999, just before the Armageddon-that-wasn’t of Y2K, I traced our family’s handprints. That way I could say that our hands spanned the millennia.
Cameron was 11; Hannah, 8; and Abby, 5.
Technically, the new century started on Jan 1, 2001. But at our house, we all cram into our cars with sparkling cider and fancy glasses and drive the last few miles around our neighborhood just to celebrate the odometer turning over a milestone number (so far, the old Camry is the record-holder: 275,000 miles before being taken down by a deer).
